Graduate students enrolled in other NYU graduate programs may request enrollment in CSE courses for up to 3 credits per semester with the approval of their graduate program advisor. It is the students’ responsibility to consult with their academic advisor if the courses they plan to take satisfy degree requirements in their program, and to obtain approval to enroll in Computer Science courses via the CSE cross-registration form.

Process for Spring 2025 Graduate cross-registration: 

1. Discuss cross registration with your department advisor and submit your request via the Google Form. The form will be open for responses beginning January 13th, 2025. 
2. The CSE department will review requests in order of receipt.
3. Decisions will be made based on available seats at the time of review. There is no guarantee that permission will be given for any course.
4. The Deadline to submit a Cross-Registration Request is January 31st at 12:00 PM EST. ALL REQUESTS SUBMITTED AFTER THIS DEADLINE WILL BE DENIED.

Advisors - please contact Megan Gillins for access to the request spreadsheet. You will need to indicate if your student is approved by your department to take the CS-GY course. The CSE department will then indicate yes/no if request is granted and a seat is given. The final step is the department advisor is required to tell their student if a seat was given.

Students will be notified of their request status via email from their department advisor.
