Glaucus selected to receive $3 million award from ARPA-H’s sprint for women’s health

Glaucus, a healthcare technology startup founded by Professor Elisa Riedo and Associate Professor Davood Shahrjerdi, has received a $3 million ARPA-H award to develop microchip-based at-home STI testing technology, with NYU Tandon and McMaster University serving as subcontractors. The company, launched through NYU Tandon's Future Labs, builds on the two faculty members’ six years of research in microchip diagnostics. "STIs have been declared a public health emergency in the United States, with girls and women between 14 and 24 years old particularly at risk," says Riedo, when explaining the importance of the research.
