How to make sure your private messages stay private
Laura Edelson, postdoctoral researcher at NYU Tandon, commented on the inadequate privacy practices many platforms have in place for their users: "If there is some third party who can recover your messages for you, they can recover your messages for anyone else. … No one needs absolute privacy until the moment they need absolute privacy. And then they really need it,” said Edelson.
