Study: people protected bike lanes made a difference
In a new study, CUSP Faculty Fellow Marcel Moran documents the global spread of People Protected Bike Lane (PPBL) demonstrations, which began in San Francisco in 2017. "The genius of People Protected Bike Lane Demonstrations," Moran explains, "is the very nature of the protest conveys the message of the protest." His research shows these peaceful demonstrations have led to protected bike lanes in 58% of demonstration locations across 25 cities and 11 countries.
