
Dr. Rishabh Chauhan is an Industry Assistant Professor at the Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP) at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. His research focuses on Sustainable and Resilient Urban Infrastructure, Transportation Planning, Artificial Intelligence and Decision Modeling. He has worked on a variety of research projects funded by agencies such as the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT), and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). His research work has been published in high-impact journals like the Scientific Data and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), and featured in top media outlets like The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Princeton University.
Dr. Chauhan received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC), a Master of Science (M.S.) in Civil Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB), and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E.) from the Technocrats Institute of Technology (TIT).
