Tell us about the job search. Was it more difficult or easier than you expected?

The job search was one of the most damn near hardest things I’ve experienced in life. The sensation of “falling behind” is much more intense in this stage if you’ve ever felt it before. I had to learn to balance my mental health and life to be far more effective at getting quality apps out while also retaining my sanity. However, there are plenty of resources to help you on this journey.

What was the interview process like?

The first interview was a behavioral one in early March. Then another two in late April on the same day. The manager told me they would extend an offer the same day. The following week I received the formal offer.

What will you be doing?

Robotics and design engineering - prototyping manufacturing line systems at their HQ labs.

Do you have any job search tips for fellow students?

1. If you have not done so already, get help from the Career Center, immediately.
2. Reach out to Alumni if you find a job at a company and LinkedIn says there are alumni working there.
3. I recommend creating a HEALTHY job application schedule/benchmark. Try Notion to manage that.
4. The job hunt is a grind, but don't lose your mind. You must find balance. Make a system that keeps your sanity and encourages DRIVE. Keep pushing forward, you really got this.
5. I believe in you! Believe in yourself! If I can, then you can too.

When did you first start the job search & how long did it take you to get an interview?

I started the job search compiling information roughly 12 months before I graduated. The number of applications I submitted dramatically increased around the last 6 months, Nov 20 - April 21. I only got my first interview the first week of March. Good things come in threes, so I got another 2 interviews the following two weeks. One of them was my first P&G interview.
