Mark Zheng is the Interim Assistant Director of Lab Operations at Tandon, where he oversees research operations, academic support staffing, and supports Campus Planning in the design and renovation of new laboratories during Hillary’s absence. He brings a wealth of expertise and experience that enhances Tandon’s academic and research endeavors. Mark's extensive background in technology, research, and teaching, highlighted by his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, underscores his commitment to academic excellence. His tenure as a Visiting Professor of Practice at NYU Shanghai and Adjunct Professor at San Jose City College speaks volumes about his dedication to fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

With his proven track record as the General Manager and Head of Technology at Cenbold Technologies, Mark brings invaluable operational leadership skills to our institution’s academic facilities. His experience in securing multi-million USD funding, establishing R&D centers, production plant, and commercializing cutting-edge products will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency and excellence within our laboratories.
