Bio:

Hi! I’m Hamza, a junior at NYU Tandon School of Engineering. I’m studying Applied Physics & Mathematics and am keen on applying my education across a vast spectrum of disciplines such as Finance, Aerospace Engineering, Astrophysics, and Quantum Programming. I grew up in the Midlands of England before moving to Texas for high school. With my Egyptian and Indian heritage, I find that living in the melting pot of NYC complements the multitude of cultures I identify with.

I spent last semester studying abroad at NYU’s campus in Abu Dhabi. I had a great time taking unique classes and participating in research projects at NYUAD’s Astroparticle Physics Lab. Now that I’m back in New York, I am excited to continue work with the Society of Undergraduate Physics and as an executive board member of the Muslim Student Association.

Academia aside, I love watching anime and playing trumpet, performing with NYU’s orchestras and spending my summers with Drum Corps International. Otherwise, you can catch me at Brooklyn’s Pier 5 playing soccer with friends!
